Volunteers

McCall Fire Department provides emergency response and non-emergency response, and a varying degree of volunteer opportunities. Joining our team will provide you with practical experience through regular training, ride-a-longs and participation in organized public education activities.

McCall Fire & EMS volunteers work side by side with McCall Fire & EMS career personnel in day to day tasks to meet the challenges of protecting life and property within the McCall Fire Protection District. Those challenges include medical calls, fires, motor vehicle accidents, swift water rescues, lake rescues, backcountry accidents,  avalanche rescue, public education, community events and much more.

Eventually, you become comfortable performing tasks on an emergency scene . At a fire scene, motor vehicle accident or an ambulance call, there are many tasks that need to be accomplished  that does not involve going into a burning building, extricating a victim from a crushed automobile, or give emergency life safety care. But you can do that too!

Feel free to stop by McCall Fire & EMS to discuss your future with the McCall Fire Protection District.
